Welcome to Meadowbrook Country Club!

Meadowbrook Country Club, located in Chesterfield County Virginia, is a member owned, private club formed in 1957. Featuring golf, tennis, swimming, and a full clubhouse, Meadowbrook has been building memories for its membership year after year. The Golf Tradition at Meadowbrook extends over 50 years. PGA professionals Lanny and Bobby Wadkins and John Rollins all started their careers at Meadowbrook. Our course is a par 71 that offers one of the best golfing experiences in Richmond. Built in an era when golf courses were self-contained entities, our course offers one of the best tee-to-green experiences in the Richmond area without private residences flanking every fairway and green. With five teeing areas on every hole, the course is built for players of all skill levels and abilities. The course features bermuda grass in both the fairways and rough, and the fairways are overseeded with rye during the winter months. Take a virtual tour of our course and facilities below, all 18 of our holes are laid out from tee to green.

The Richmond “GOLF ALLIANCE”

Meadowbrook Country Club has partnered up with eight (8) Private Country Clubs to form a Golf Alliance. The purpose of this Alliance is to provide golf members of each club the opportunity to experience golf at other private venues at a cost much less than regular fees. For $25, including greens fee, golf cart fee and range balls, Meadowbrook golf members can play golf at the eight other Richmond Golf Alliance private clubs. Please make arrangements to play these clubs through Meadowbrook’s Professional Golf Staff. You are welcome to take guests with you to play, who will be asked to pay the Club’s regular rates.

Members can always count on fresh bermuda tees during the warm weather months.

The sand bunker is available to improve one of the often overlooked parts of the short game.

The primary putting green is adjacent to the pro shop.

The secondary putting green is adjacent to the first tee, perfect for those last few warm-ups before the round.

Scorecard Scorecard

No need to pull out driver here, accuracy is more important than distance on the 1st tee.

Golfers only see the top of the flag on the approach - better to miss in the front part of the green.

The undulations make this green a challenge. The first ten paces of the green are almost a false front.

There are two bunkers - barely visible - that guard both sides of the green.

The green slopes gradually from back to front, so miss short to be below the hole.

Accuracy is most important on this narrow fairway, consider a 3-wood from the tee.

The rolling fairway sometimes provides slightly uphill and downhill lies.

The green slopes sharply from right to left except in the back right of the green.

The fairway is fairly large on this hole, so bombs away!

Short to medium length drives will come up just short of the three fairway bunkers.

When the hole location is on the left behind the bunker, this hole plays about 1/2 a stroke harder.

The green is very large and two tiered. The upper tier is behind the left bunker.

The 5th tee plays slightly uphill. Aim a little left to follow the slight dogleg and avoid the fairway bunker.

Errant drives produce bogies, but accurate drives set up short irons to a flat green.

With one of the flattest greens on the course, this hole can be a birdie opportunity.

That's no typo, the front of the back tee box plays at 619. the back plays at 630!

A big tee shot is essential. You should aim down the right hand side to follow the dogleg.

This is not a hole you will reach in two. Eat up yards with a fairway wood or hybrid on your second shot.

The approach is typically above the hole and often downwind. Factor these into your club selection.

The huge green drops off sharply in the back and to the left, so better short than long here.

A creek provides a lateral hazard down the right hand side, there is OB on the entire left hand side.

Do not miss left with your approach shot, there is one greenside bunker on the right

The narrow, elevated green slopes sharply from left to right.

A small pond is in front of the back tees but is not in play.

The forward tees are to the left and make the 8th play like a dogleg.

The longer the drive, the more uphill the approach shot.

The large green slopes so sharply from right to left that you must absolutely not miss above the hole.

From the back tees, the island 9th offers a daunting tee shot - play to the middle.

From the forward tees the lake is in play but the tee shot is much easier.

The drop area is 50 yards from the green on the right side above the hole.

The 9th offers one of the largest greens on the course

Welcome to the island, you've nearly made it through the front 9.

The ideal shot carries the bunker on the right but stays in the fairway.

The forward tees take most of the dogleg out of play.

The approach is uphill and often into the wind, take an extra club or two from here.

The 10th green is one of the most undulating greens on the course.

Aim your tee shot at the pine tree on the center-right to set up your approach.

The approach is straightforward, mishits are better short than long.

The 11th slopes back to front and has little break aside from that.

There is a waste area beyond the trees on the left. The safe play is to drive center-right.

Once you clear the dogleg, a wide but shallow green awaits.

The 12th green is one of the largest on the course. The back bunker protects against long shots.

The 13th is a welcome break after the tough middle section of the course.

The large green slopes from back to front. Straight hitters are rewarded on this hole.

A big tee shot is required to reach the 200 yard marker. Mishits should be to the right.

The forward tees are more forgiving, offering a view of the fairway beyond the dogleg.

The approach is almost always a long iron or fairway wood.

This green also slopes back to front. If you manage a 4 on this hole, you've done well.

The fairway is wide enough that driver is usually the better choice off the tee.

Two elevated fairway bunkers will catch long drives left and right.

The approach shot will move to the right on the lower half of the green.

The 15th green has a small upper tier in the back left and breaks sharply downhill and right everywhere else.

The narrow fairway slopes downhill to the right, so aim your tee shot down the left side.

The approach is often a little uphill and/or downwind. Factor these into your club selection.

The green is guarded by a bunker left, and woods downhill on the right.

The center of the green is always a safe bet to avoid the three bunkers.

From the gold and red tees the right hand bunker guards much of the approach.

Should you find the lake, a drop area 95 yards from the green awaits.

The 17th green is two tiered, the back tier is much smaller than the front.

Aim your tee shot at the bunker to follow the dogleg, just right of the bunker for big hitters.

A pine tree guards the right approach to the postage stamp green.

Simple rule of thumb here - all putts break toward the clubhouse.
